Meet Assist Sheffield

Ball Street Deli is run by KINCA (Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Alliance), a voluntary-led group. One of the key objectives is to prevent exclusion in society. To help complete this we've partnered up with Assist Sheffield another voluntary-led group, who once again will be joining us at Ball Street Deli on Sunday 2nd December.

Assist Sheffield

Assist Sheffield provide help for those who have fled from horrendous situations and find themselves unable to claim housing or employment when their application for asylum has been turned down.

Asylum seekers get a bad reputation. Put yourself in their shoes and you'd be doing the same! Assist Sheffield offer services to help with housing applications, support, advice and assistance to the vulnerable. They've been doing this since 2003 and help 90 asylum seekers each week, a number which continues to grow, which obviously means they need more volunteers, support and funding to help provide this service.

If you want to help have a chat with the team at the Ball Street Deli. For more information visit their website.
