KINNF (supported by KINCA) is leading the development of a neighbourhood plan for adoption by the City Council that will help shape Kelham Island and Neepsend over the next 10 years!
The plan will aim to:-

Improve the look and feel of the public realm

Ensure future development is sensitive to local heritage

Support and encourage a family friendly community

Tackle major issues including parking traffic, street cleaning
The neighbourhood plan is an opportunity for residents and local business to come together and design a vision for the future.
Residents and local businesses have now agreed on the boundaries of the area approved by the council (see map) and an initial consultation of residents and businesses took place in October 2019, the results of which highlighted among other things:

The need for green, public space as well as community facilities such as a doctor's surgery or children's play area.

The areas historic character should be protected and the existing balance between residential and commercial use should be maintained.

Future residential development should provide for families
