We can't wait to try Lovely Pear's vegan goodies when they make their Ball Street Deli debut on 2nd December.
Please can you introduce yourselves...
We’re Sean & Lindsey, we are Lovely Pear, a vegan/vegetarian catering company. We work from home in Walkley, supplying vegan cakes to wholesale and the public. We also have a weekly lunch pop up, which is at Union St every Wednesday, where you can try our savoury food.
What will you be bringing to Ball Street Deli?
We’ll be bringing a wide selection of vegan treats, such as cakes, cupcakes, tarts, brownies and cookie sandwiches. There will be plenty of gluten free options too. Our mince pie frangipan tart will be available, as well as sticky toffee pudding cupcakes.
Why do you love Kelham Island?
We love the pubs, in particular the Fat Cat! Really knowledgeable and friendly staff, it’s great for trying out new beers. We really like the Depot for breakfast too, their pastries are delicious. Peddler is great as well, we always have a good night there. We love Pina as well, amazing food & drinks!
What has been your highlight for 2018?
We’ve really enjoyed doing our first markets. Until August we were doing this part time around our jobs, but now we’re full time Lovely Pear, which means we can do more markets. Taste of Independent Sheffield, Netheredge Farmers Market and Craft & Flea have all been great events for us. Catering for Endless Love Creative Makers Market recently was really good too!
What have you asked Santa for this Christmas?
A lie in or a day off! We’re not fussy, either will do!
