Purpose

We are from all sorts of backgrounds and age groups, residents and local business representatives, working together to make Kelham Island & Neepsend a safe and enjoyable place to live, work and socialise.

Our members work hard to maintain and protect the environment, especially the river and wildlife that forms the heart of our district.

Aware that social isolation and poor community integration are pervasive issues for city neighbourhoods, we want Kelham Island & Neepsend to be a caring and inclusive community and to this end we are developing a variety of initiatives.

We have elected a volunteer committee with suitable skills and humour to steer our

alliance and we have small teams of committed volunteers to manage our growing number of projects, harnessing the wealth of talent, experience and enthusiasm within our community.

We meet regularly, formally and socially, and we are joined by local councillors, police and guest speakers, who provide information and listen to local issues and concerns as well as participate in many of our activities.

You will find more information about our projects and partners on this website.

Welcome. Feel free to join us and help us be a better community.
